Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of AppLogger (the “Service”), an EU-hosted error tracking and application log monitoring platform. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation.

1. The Service

AppLogger lets you collect, group, search and analyse errors, logs and session diagnostics sent from your own applications. Features include error grouping and alerting, log aggregation, session and session-replay diagnostics, analytics, team collaboration and outbound notifications (email and webhooks). Available functionality and limits depend on your plan tier.

2. Accounts & eligibility

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials and project API keys (DSNs) secure.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account and for any data sent to the Service using your projects’ keys.
• You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service.

3. Your data & your responsibilities

You retain ownership of the error, log and session data you send to the Service (“Customer Data”). For Customer Data, AppLogger acts as a data processor and you act as the data controller. You grant us a limited licence to host and process Customer Data solely to provide and maintain the Service for you.

• You are responsible for having a lawful basis to send Customer Data and for informing your own users where required.
• Customer Data can contain personal data because it originates from your applications (for example, in log messages, request data, stack traces or session replays). You should avoid deliberately sending special-category personal data, secrets or payment details. The Service applies automated protections (see our Privacy Policy), but you remain responsible for what your applications transmit.
• You must not use the Service to store data you are not legally permitted to process.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure;
• send malware, attempt to disrupt the Service, or circumvent rate limits, quotas or plan restrictions;
• resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted.

5. Plans, tiers & limits

Ingestion rate limits and data retention vary by plan tier (BASIC, STANDARD, PREMIUM, VIP). Retention periods for errors and logs are described in our Privacy Policy. We may enforce quotas and rate limits, and may queue, sample or reject data that exceeds your plan’s limits.

6. Availability & “as is”

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but it is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AppLogger will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to our infrastructure. On account deletion, associated data is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Effective” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the member state in which AppLogger is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are unaffected.
